Ana Curtin brings more than 20 years of experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist to SPEAK. She founded SPEAK in 2002 to offer a highly specialized, and relationship-based option for families. She has received ASHA's ACE Award for volume and excellence of continuing education many times and mentors many professionals.
Ms. Ana is most notable for being the first PROMPT-CERTIFIED therapist in Maryland. Her expertise in the areas of APRAXIA, motor speech disorders, OROFACIAL MYOLOGY, and TONGUE TIES is unique. She has served as the oral motor specialist for Loyola’s graduate clinic, been a consultant to special school programs, and serves as a featured speaker at local and international SLP workshops like those offered through Talk Tools.
As a result of her cutting-edge approaches and mastery with sophisticated techniques, SPEAK has been recommended countless times by pediatricians and other therapists to work with their most complex cases. Ms. Ana believes collaborating with caregivers, the medical team, and educational communities leads to the best outcomes.
Ana lives in Annapolis with her husband and kids. She is a big Penn State fan who enjoys yoga, visiting family and collecting all of the world's greatest toys!
